We have the experience and capacity to handle large projects in the multi-million dollar construction value range. We also provide the same level of service and commitment to clients with smaller projects.
Our range of skills is diverse. We undertake projects of all building types and at all scales. Our services include building design, interiors, feasibility studies, building condition surveys, and master planning. We have particular expertise in the design of projects for First Nations, and in heritage conservation.
To ensure the highest standards are maintained, Heney Klypak is involved from design start up to turning over the constructed project to the client. Heney is supported by an dedicated team of registered architects and architectural technologists.

Heney Klypak Architect Ltd.
Heney Klypak grew up in the small agricultural community of Simpson, Saskatchewan.
In the early seventies, Heney pursued his creative side and enrolled in the Fine Arts Department at the University of Saskatchewan. Heney graduated in 1978.
Heney was greatly inspired by world renowned structurist and Professor Eli Bornstein; who provided the inspiration to continue the journey in study of 3D space and light through architecture. In 1982, Heney received his Masters of Architecture degree from The University of Manitoba.
After 1982 graduation, Heney worked in Regina with various architectural firms. In 1985 he moved to Saskatoon with Forrester Scott Bowers Architects and Engineers. In 1989, Heney Klypak Architect Ltd. was established. He shared an office with Allan Duddridge Architect for five years.
Between 2005 and 2011, Heney Klypak practiced with Ted Rusick under the corporate partnership, Klypak Rusick Architects.
Heney has been involved in a variety of projects and has received over ten design awards. He was responsible for 65 Bed Park Town Hotel Addition, various Credit Unions, offices for private and public client groups, various heritage commissions including Rumley Warehouse conversion to luxury condominiums, various First Nation Health Centres and Schools as well as private residences.
Heney believes in giving back to the community. In 2005, Heney was President of the Saskatchewan Association of Architects. He was a board member with Cosmopolitan Industries for 20 years, and served as President from 2012 to 2014. He has also instructed numerous classes to the construction industry on the topic of Interpreting Construction Documents (blueprint reading). In 2017, Heney was invited to speak at the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE) Conference. His topic was Designing and Building Culturally Responsive Environments for Indigenous People.
In 2017, Heney was inducted into the College of Fellows of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC).
Andrew Wallace
Architect SAA

Andrew Wallace is a senior architect and project manager with twenty years' experience in architectural practice, project planning, and project management. Andrew completed a degree in History at McGill University before deciding to pursue architecture as a career. He graduated from the University of British Columbia School of Architecture in 1997, where he was awarded the American Institute of Architects Henry Adams Medal.
Andrew has worked for architectural firms in Vancouver, Toronto, and London, England, including heritage conservation specialists Thomas Croft Architects in London, and Goldsmith Borgal & Company Architects in Toronto. More recently, he served as Architectural Design Coordinator at the University of Saskatchewan, before going on to manage the university's Project Planning Office.
Andrew has experience with a wide variety of building types, including institutional, commercial and private residential. He has particular expertise in the areas of educational facilities planning and heritage conservation. Project highlights from Andrew’s career include the restoration of an 19th century Georgian home in London, the design of an art gallery in Whitby Ontario, the renovation of the Murray Library, and the planning of Graduate House, a 262-bed student residence at the University of Saskatchewan.
Andrew is also dedicated to the promotion of architecture in Saskatchewan. He is a founding member of Great Places, a volunteer group promoting design culture in Saskatoon, and has worked for several years on the U of S School of Architecture Initiative.
Aaron Kennedy

Architectural Building Technologies Diploma
Aaron graduated from the Architectural Building Technologies Program at SIAST Palliser Campus, Moose Jaw, SK in 2013. After completion, he moved to Saskatoon to work with Heney Klypak Architect Ltd. He has grown to appreciate buildings and the design that goes into them. Aaron has experience with projects ranging from small residential and businesses to large commercial and industrial projects, both on the architectural and structural side.
Aaron has been involved in a number of outreach projects taking him to the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and South Africa. These experiences have allowed him to better understand the world we live in, and the need for better design of buildings and sustainable communities.
Carla Dudley
Office Administrator
B. Sc., B.Ed.,
Carla graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Science in 1990 and from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Education in 1993.
Carla has enjoyed many jobs chasing birds and butterflies and looking for plants, and she spent over 10 years as a substitute teacher. She has experience in project planning and coordination, and educational outreach including creating an Interpretive Centre. She has over 6 years of experience in office administration from being the Program Assistant for NH Fish and Game’s Nongame Program to Office Administrator for an Auction Company.
Carla began working with Heney Klypak Architect in April of 2017.
Michael Holliday-Scott

B.Eng, M.Arch (incomplete)
Michael received his Bachelors of Engineering (Mech) from the University of Saskatchewan. Pursuing his interest in energy efficiency and sustainability and inspired by the realization that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, he continued his education in the Masters of Architecture program at the University of Manitoba.
Michael has over 30 years of experience, primarily with Ted Rusick Architect, in all phases of design and construction. Projects include both new construction and addition/ renovation of schools, health clinics and band offices throughout the province, as well as casino, residential and retail projects.
Michael joined Heney Klypak Architect in 2015.
