Crossroads Credit Union Advice Centre Renovation

Sturgis, SK, 2024

This project saw the renovation of a former Credit Union into a first-of-its-kind Advice Centre: a place for the people of Sturgis to meet, work and get financial advice to serve their local businesses.  The project revived a historic brick building through the addition of a new prefinished metal facade and signage on the exterior, and a comprehensive renovation of the interior.  The layout delivered two new offices, open office touchdown work spaces, and two different team meetings spaces, all modernized with new electrical and mechanical servicing.   The new design extended the reach of daylight from the building’s only two existing windows throughout the entire depth of the floor plan.  The original bank vault was repurposed into a small meeting room served by a nearby kitchenette, all while maintaining the character of the historic vault door.  Interior finishes were personalized for the community to include wall murals of the Sturgis water tower and the towns hillside stone sign all accented with Crossroads Credit Union’s distinctive yellow colour mark.
