Notting Hill House Revitalization
London UK, 2003
This project was a full renovation of and addition to a Georgian home in Notting Hill Gate, London. The house, originally built in the 1840’s, was improved by the removal of a poorly composed addition, which was replace by a new wing more sympathetic to the building’s original style. A modern steel and glass dining pavilion contrasts with the original period architecture and extends the house into the formal garden. A new balcony and similarly detailed bay window were also added to the rear garden elevation. Andrew Wallace led this project while working with Thomas Croft Architects in London, UK.
